Kelly McClellan, a PhD student in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, is a winner of the 2007 SWAAC (Senior Women Academic Administrators of Canada) Graduate Student Award of Merit.
The award recognizes women graduate students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the university or general community while maintaining exemplary academic records. Alongside impressive academic achievement, McLellan has a strong record of involvement in the academic community, including starting up the student-organized “Academic Success Seminar Series” for graduate students, and improving departmental communication through the establishment of a departmental biweekly e-newsletter.
