The Sealy Chair in Lung Cancer Research was announced in honour of Barbara Joan Sealy, who passed away from lung cancer on May 21, 2002.

“Our family wishes to increase awareness, early detection and improve the prevention of lung cancer by supporting this chair,” said David Sealy, Mrs. Sealy’s husband, pictured far right with David Mitchell, vice-president, University Relations.

Dr. Doug Gray will be the first chair holder.
