Students and staff raised more than $13,000 for the Sean Egan Memorial Scholarship in the second annual “Walk for Sean,” held on March 23.
Egan’s son, Seamus, and daughter, Anna, lead participants.
Egan, a long-time professor with the School of Human Kinetics, died April 29, 2005 of a heart attack, while attempting to become the oldest Canadian to reach the summit of Everest.
The “Walk for Sean” raises funds for a scholarship established by the Undergraduate Students Association of Human Kinetics in Egan’s memory.
