Foundation provides $50,000 to Access Service

The Student Academic Success Service (SASS) recently received a $50,000 donation from the Birks Family Foundation.

This gift will support the University’s Access Service, whose mission is to successfully integrate students with disabilities within the university community. Students with hearing impairment, visual, learning, or mobility disabilities, and physical or mental health problems have access to services such as personalized tutoring, library research assistance, sign language and writing interpretation, and adaptive technologies.

The Birks Family Foundation is committed to supporting higher education through universities.
