After the well-deserved nomination in November of Denis Piché, head coach of the Gee-Gees football team, as coach of the year by Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS), three other coaches have recently garnered provincial honours.
Dave DeAveiro, head coach of men’s basketball team, has been named the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) East Division coach of the year.
Lionel Woods, head coach of the women’s volleyball team, was named the OUA East Division coach of the year.
Swim coach Iain McDonald also received accolades. He was named the OUA 2007 men’s swimming coach of the year.
