Heather Henry, Danielle Lamarche, Annie Lévesque and Melissa Williams are recipients of the 2006–2007 CIBC Mentorship Program Scholarships. Joined by staff, students, family and friends on January 22, the recipients were recognized for their dedication and commitment to the program.

Heather Henry is a fourth-year chemistry student. She is serving her third year as a mentor. Danielle Lamarche is a fourth-year international management student. She is serving her first year as a mentor. Annie Lévesque, a fourth-year biomedical sciences student, and Melissa Williams, a third-year nursing student, have both been mentors for two years.

The Program recognizes University of Ottawa students who volunteer as mentors to other students through the Student Academic Success Service. The scholarships provide recipients with funds to cover undergraduate tuition: up to $4,500 each year per student.

Interest in the program has continued to grow since its inception in 2004. This year there are more than 175 mentors in 16 centres (up from 12 centres in 2006) in various faculties and services on campus,
attracting 9,000 visits by students.
