Graduate Studies celebrated

On January 15, Robert Major, vice-president, academic and provost, and Gary Slater, dean of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, hosted the annual Graduate Studies Evening.

The evening offered 400 fourth-year students the opportunity to meet professors from all faculties and institutes and enjoy presentations from prominent figures in Canada’s research community, including Pierre Chartrand, vice-president of the Canadian Institute for Health Research, and Janet Halliwell, executive vice-president of the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. Students enjoyed the chance to exchange ideas and explore graduate studies as the next step in preparation for their professional or research career.
