Celebrating diversity at uOttawa

  International Week

A firmly established tradition at the University of Ottawa is International Week when faculty, support staff and students celebrate cultural diversity and raise international awareness. In conjunction with the International Gala, it is recognized as the University’s main international event of the year and has experienced a steady growth in participation over the years.

From January 29 until February 2, participants representing more than 50 countries will present some of the unique features of their cultures. Every day, audiences in the Agora will have the opportunity to observe and participate in a variety of activities including food tasting, dancing, concerts, audio-visual presentations, and more.

International Week is an occasion for the University to showcase its cosmopolitan character. As part of their efforts to build on the week’s growing success, organizers from the International Office and International House are working towards implementing an academic element to International Week in future years.
