Child’s play: Faculty holiday card uses kids’ drawings

Drawing by Yasmina Diabaté

The Faculty of Education recently held its second annual Holiday Drawing Contest to choose a design for its season’s greeting card.

The contest was open to children and grandchildren of Faculty staff and to pupils of four elementary schools located near the University campus: Sainte Anne, Francojeunesse, Corpus Christi and Viscount Alexander. Some 70 children between the ages of five and ten took part in the contest, and showed a lot of imagination in producing very colourful designs.

Drawings by Yasmina Diabaté, 5, in the 5- to 7-year-old group, and by Chloé Brabant, 8, in the 8- to 10-year-old group, were selected to illustrate the front and back panels of the Faculty’s official holiday card.
