What is your most important function at the University and why?

I help coordinate training activities offered to the University of Ottawa support staff.

What is it about your job that inspires you most?

I have only been at the Training and Career Development Centre for a month, so I am still discovering things. I have always enjoyed human resources. This is my first experience working in the training aspect of human resources and I look forward to the challenges.

What are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my expatriation to Canada. To expatriate is to take the best of your own culture and that of the country you are in. It is an exercise in accepting our true self. It is an incredible experience and I highly recommend it. It may not always be easy, but in the end you are enriched by the experience in so many ways.

What would you change in the world today if you could?

If I had the power, I would eliminate human arrogance. Quite the challenge! I would enhance open communication and sharing from the heart, self-acceptance and accepting of others — who we are and who we are not. We are all perfect in our own way.
