Retirement community residents enjoy a musical interlude with Evelyn Greenberg. |
The Evelyn Greenberg Music Endowment received a $10,000 donation from retirement community AlaVida Lifestyles, on June 1. This contribution helped the Campaign reach more than 50 per cent of its $500,000 goal for the endowment project.
The strong interest in the endowment fund is in large part due to Greenberg herself, because of her involvement and commitment to the Ottawa community throughout the years.
The endowment will provide the Department of Music with a sustainable source of income to maintain, renew and purchase instruments, and provide the best rehearsal and performance instruments for students and professors.
