The University of Ottawa signed an agreement on May 26 with Ottawa Biotechnical Properties Inc. to purchase two buildings and adjoining land in the Ottawa Life Sciences Technology Park, near uOttawa’s Roger Guindon campus (Smyth Road).
The deal is worth $6.9 million and will allow the University to accommodate its significant growth in research and academic activities.
The two buildings have been designed with both dry and wet research infrastructures. They will most likely be used to house and support medical, health sciences and other related academic and research activities. The deal also includes acquisition of approximately six acres, thereby allowing future development.
