Aurélien Leftick, the University of Ottawa graduate, who was the brainchild behind ‘The Intern’ competition, won the Student Entrepreneur of the Year Award from OCRI.
Leftick created ‘The Intern,’ a virtual stock simulation and marketing challenge while he was a student at the School of Management in 2004. The competition grants the final contestant an internship at the National Bank of Canada. The third annual challenge was held this spring.
Another uOttawa student, Saied Nourian, was also among the finalists for OCRI’s student entrepreneur award (see
Gazette, March 23).
OCRI, Ottawa’s economic development agency, honoured Ottawa’s best and brightest in 12 categories at its annual awards banquet in April.
