Fire! Eyewitness describes 1903 tragedy

December 2, 1903: flames consume the UniversityFather Auriemma Veronneau describes the horror of  “death floating everywhere” as flames ravaged the University's main building reducing it to a smoking pile of brick and stone rubble and twisted steel.
