Funding recognizes good performance in three areas

Judging by the amount of annual performance funding, students and staff at the University of Ottawa are performing exceptionally well, according to the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities.

Each year the Government of Ontario allocates university performance-based grants based on key indicators such as post-graduation employment rates and degree completion rates. The government establishes a benchmark, and awards funding to those above the benchmark.

Of the $23.16 million in funding available provincially, the University will receive a little more than $2 million for its performance in three areas:

  • Six-month employment rate for 2002 grads: 94.9%
  • Two-year employment rate for 2002 grads: 96%
  • Degree completion for 1996 entrants: 75.3%
