Two members of the University of Ottawa community will sit on the Ontario government’s newly established advisory committee on improving access to French-language postsecondary programs.
Robert Major, vice-president academic and provost, and André Brazeau, president of the Student Federation, will join 14 other members to give advice on areas such as access and success in postsecondary studies and defining priority research initiatives.
The advisory committee is part of the government’s plan to improve access to postsecondary opportunities for francophones. The funding is part of the education plan unveiled in the 2005 budget.
