Tran Thi Thu Trang is lecturer at the School of Political Studies, University of Ottawa. She specialises on rural development in transition countries, notably Viet Nam. Trang examines in particular how rural transformation is affected by globalisation, local politics, as well as trade and commodity chains. She studied at the universities of East Anglia (Norwich, UK), and the Institute of Social Studies (The Hague, The Netherlands).
