Mark Stolarik

PhD (Minnesota) Full Professor. Chair in Slovak History and Culture.
History of Slovakia and the Slovaks; Immigration to North America; East Central Europe.
Publications:
Author or editor of eight books, including Slovaks in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, 1880-1976 (1985) and Immigration and Urbanization: The Slovak Experience, 1870-1918 (1989). Over fifty articles in International Migration Review, Canadian Ethnic Studies, Ethnic Forum, Canadian Review of Studies in Nationalism, Histoire sociale/Social History, Historický casopis (Bratislava), Historické stúdie (Bratislava), Prace polonijne (Cracow), Migracijske teme (Zagreb), Slovak Studies (Rome), Harvard Encyclopedia of American Ethnic Groups, and chapters in books and in popular journals. Documentary film, "Vianoce: A Canadian Slovak Christmas," (1978).
