Don Dawson
Don Dawson is an associate professor of Leisure Studies in the School of Human Kinetics. Since 1982 he has been at the University of Ottawa where his teaching and research have focused on research methods and social theory. He is presently engaged in the "Mentoring At-Risk Youth Through In-School Recreation" program in conjunction with local school boards and community agencies. He has been published in a variety of scholarly journals, including the Journal of Leisure Research, Leisure Studies, Loisir et soci�te, Leisure Sciences and Leisure/Loisir. His current research project is a critical investigation of "Leisure and Utopia" in social thought. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Leisure Studies and was the president of the Canadian Congress on Leisure Research. |
