Christina De Simone

Research interests:

Educational Psychology; cognitive and metacognitive strategies; pedagogical innovations; problem-based pedagogies, teacher learning and teacher practices; higher education, mixed-methods methodologies.


Scholarly activities:

Professor De Simone is currently engaged in a programme of research funded by Fonds québécois de la recherché sur la société et la culture (FQRSC) (2004-2006) entitled "Transferring Classroom Teachers' Problem-Solving Skills from Simulated to Real Environments" and by Faculty Research Funds, University of Ottawa. This investigation focuses on teachers’ implementations of problem-based learning practices throughout their teaching profession.
