Cheryll Duquette

CHERYLL DUQUETTE is an associate professor and former Director of Teacher Education at the University of Ottawa. Her research program follows two tracks: inclusion of students with special needs and community-based teacher education programs. She has published over 30 books, refereed articles, and manuscripts for professional journals, as well as presented papers at numerous conferences. Research in the area of inclusion has related to the educational experiences of students with hearing impairment, visual impairment, and fetal alcohol spectrum disorder. Publications for teachers have focused on specific teaching techniques that may be used in inclusive classrooms. Her research in the area of community-based teacher education centers on the experiences of the student teachers as they become teachers and role models and, their learning.
