COMMUNITY PARTNER INFORMATION:
Organization:
Aventures en génie et en sciences / Adventures in Engineering and Science
Description:
Adventures is a not for profit program run by a team of engineering and science students at the University of Ottawa. Adventures offers springtime classroom workshops, summer camp programming, and a Club for Girls during the school year. Throughout the summer months students are employed through the Faculty of Engineering, but during the school year volunteers are what drive the Club for Girls program! Volunteers are University or high school students interested in science, engineering and helping others. Adventures introduces concepts to kids ages 8-13 through fun, hands-on projects to get them interested about the world of science and engineering.
