COMMUNITY PARTNER INFORMATION:
Organization:
Carlington Community Health Centre
Description:
Carlington Community Health Centre helps people increase control over and improve their health and the health of the community as a whole. We bring the knowledge of good health and the factors affecting it to community residents, partners and groups. We deal with a wide range of issues and concerns that affect health. We do this through our Medical, Counselling, Health Promotion and the Assertive Community Treatment programs. These programs include: workshops, drops-ins, support groups, community meetings, training, outreach counselling, education, problem solving, advocacy and support for community initiatives. Carlington Community Health Centre also works with community residents in finding solutions to problems they identify and provide organizational support to local groups and associations. In addition to our main office, we provide services at three outreach locations: Bellevue, Carleton Heights, and Scott Hill/Van Lang.
