Students – Community Partners Details

COMMUNITY PARTNER INFORMATION:
Organization:
Fairbairn House
Description:
Fairbairn House is a ten bed Open Custody Facility owned and operated by Youth Now Intervention Services and contracted by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. As part of Youth Justice Services we supply a custody service for young males ages 16 to 18 who have been sentenced by the courts. The youth that we serve are high risk/high needs, many with mental health diagnoses as well as a criminal background. While at Fairbairn House they are assessed as to their needs and individual programs are developed with a view towards community reintegration and rehabilitation. The mission of Fairbairn House Inc. is to provide a safe residential setting where youths are given the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to become positive contributing members of their community.
