If so, consider the possibilities offered by the University of Ottawa’s innovative Experiential Learning Service.
Currently, over 1500 students, 130 professors and 350 community groups participate in this service that links student expertise with volunteer projects that build social capital.
Operating through a university course, the typical volunteer commitment is 30 hours over an academic term upon which the student generally produces a written report that his or her professor grades.
Perhaps your firm has a project it would like to explore or implement to improve society? Consider the possibilities that can be pursued by putting to use the unique skills offered by Marketing, English, Science Computer Science, Engineering, Linguistics, History, or Public Policy students. With 10 faculties and over 80 academic departments, the possibilities are truly astounding.
There is no limit on the number of placements you can submit, and the assignments can be designed for individuals or teams.
You can register online. The process is quick and simple, and our staff is always ready to assist.
Your volunteer opportunity will be targeted to appropriate courses and students for the following academic term. You will be able to consult your online account to check the status of your placement, and submit student and program evaluations.
