OTTAWA, September 28, 2015 — The University of Ottawa invites members of the media to attend a ceremony to highlight the official naming of a building in honour of Marcel Hamelin.

Dr. Marcel Hamelin first joined the University of Ottawa as a professor in the Department of History in 1966. He later became chair of the department, vice-dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Research, dean of the Faculty of Arts, and rector and vice-chancellor of the University.
