Media advisory: Sugar shack - a typical Canadian experience for international students
OTTAWA,
March 26, 2015 —
The University of Ottawa invites the media to experience a sugar shack through the eyes of international students visiting one for the first time. On March 27 and 28, 70 students from all around the world will serve as volunteers for traditional sugar shack activities.
WHAT: Sugar shack — a typical Canadian experience for international students
WHEN: Friday, March 27 and Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to noon
WHERE: Vanier Museopark, Ottawa (300 Pères Blancs Avenue)
University of Ottawa students will welcome more than 1,000 students from area schools. By giving of their time, they will experience a Canadian tradition and have an opportunity to involve themselves in the community.
