MEDIA ADVISORY: Makerspace Prosthetic Challenge Finale
OTTAWA,
March 18, 2015 —
The University of Ottawa invites members of the media to attend the Makerspace Prosthetic Challenge Finale. For many months, teams of students and members of the community have been designing and creating prosthetic hands for a six-year-old Ottawa boy named Sebastian. During this event, Sebastian will choose his favourite prosthetic hand.
WHAT: Makerspace Prosthetic Challenge Finale
WHEN: Friday, March 20, 2015 at noon
WHERE: SITE Atrium (800 King Edward Avenue | map)
The winning team will receive a $1,000 prize. Both the young boy and competition participants will be on site to talk about their experience designing and fabricating the prosthetic hands.
