MEDIA ADVISORY: President of the Federal Republic of Germany visits Advanced Research Complex

OTTAWA, September 24, 2014  —  The University of Ottawa cordially invites members of the media to join the president of the Federal Republic of Germany, Joachim Gauck, during his visit to the new Advanced Research Complex (ARC).

The visit will be an opportunity to highlight major research partnerships, both current and in development, between uOttawa and German institutions. They include leading-edge research collaborations in photonics with the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Light in Erlangen and in Earth sciences with the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research in Kiel.

During this event, President Joachim Gauck of the Federal Republic of Germany will tour the ARC facilities.

IMPORTANT: Due to the nature of this event, please confirm your attendance to Kina Leclair.

PLEASE NOTE: Members of the media will have an opportunity to tour the Accelerator Mass Spectrometer lab, the only one of its kind in Canada. For a full tour of the Advanced Research Complex (ARC), the University of Ottawa will invite media on September 30, as part of the ARC inauguration.
