MEDIA ADVISORY: Proclamation of Brain Health Awareness Week by City of Ottawa
OTTAWA, September 23, 2014 — The University of Ottawa Brain and Mind Research Institute (uOBMRI) cordially invites members of the media to attend the official proclamation of Brain Health Awareness Week by Mayor Jim Watson at City Hall.

WHEN: Wednesday, September 24, 2014, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
WHERE: City Hall (110 Laurier Avenue West), Jean Pigott Place Room
Join Dr. Jacques Bradwejn, dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and David Park, director of uOBMRI, for a presentation on the Institute’s mandate as a world-class leader in neuroscience research and treatment of brain disorders, including stroke, depression, suicide, Parkinson’s and neuromuscular disease. A special message will be delivered by the Governor General of Canada, His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, in support of mental health awareness and advocacy.
