MEDIA ADVISORY: Launch of the Second University of Ottawa Human Rights Film Festival
OTTAWA, September 22, 2014 — The University of Ottawa and the Canadian Film Institute invite the media to the launch of the second edition of the University of Ottawa Human Rights Film Festival.
As a collaborative project between the uOttawa Human Rights Research and Education Centre (HRREC) and the Canadian Film Institute (CFI), this year’s festival features six international documentaries and films highlighting compelling human rights issues focusing on mental health and women’s rights.
The directors of the HRREC and the CFI will be present at the event and available for interviews. DVDs of each film and other information will be provided.
