Ottawa universities and colleges statement on September 2014 orientation week
OTTAWA, July 31, 2014 — Student associations and administrations at the University of Ottawa, Carleton University, Algonquin College and La Cité have learned of a privately organized event, Ottawa Frosh Week 2014.
We wish to inform the student community that we are not associated with this event and that we do not endorse any of the activities associated with the company presenting it.
We encourage first year and returning students to attend orientation activities and events organized by their respective colleges or universities. We share details about our institutions’ respective orientation weeks with students via email, mailed packages and/or school and student association websites.
We wish all of Ottawa’s new and returning postsecondary students a fun and safe start to the academic year.
