MEDIA ADVISORY: Brunsfield Centre, a playground for engineering students to experiment and learn
OTTAWA, April 8, 2014 — The University of Ottawa invites members of the media to the inauguration of the Brunsfield Centre. The centre’s leading edge facilities offer engineering students the space, resources and equipment necessary to design, manufacture and test complex prototypes such energy-efficient cars, unmanned planes, helicopters and submarines. This type of learning through experimentation inspires future engineers and budding entrepreneurs, while allowing them to prepare for pre-professional competitions.

The Brunsfield Centre was created through a donation from alumnus Dato’ Ir Gan Thian Leong, founder and managing director of the Brunsfield Group of Companies. Dato’ Ir Gan Thian Leong will be present for the inauguration.
