Ottawa researchers to play major role in $8.7M research project aimed at curing HIV
OTTAWA, November 29, 2013 — Researchers from the Ottawa Hospital, CHEO and the University of Ottawa will play a major role in a new research project that aims to eliminate HIV and contribute to the global effort to put an end to AIDS. The project was awarded $8.7 million through the Canadian Initiative for HIV Cure Research, a partnership between the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR) and the International AIDS Society (IAS).
