International ranking: The University of Ottawa is again ranked among the top universities in the world

OTTAWA, October 2, 2013  —  The University of Ottawa has once again established itself among the world’s top universities according to the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings. For the third consecutive year, the University was ranked 185th or better. Only six other Canadian universities made the top 200 this year.

Two years ago, the University of Ottawa launched Destination 20/20, a strategic plan with specific targets to improve the student experience, galvanize research efforts and attract more international students. Over the past few years, the University has attracted several world-renowned researchers and graduate students and the Advanced Research Complex, which is scheduled to open in early 2014, will further enhance the University’s position, both in Canada and internationally.

“We are delighted to once again be ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide, an achievement that is a reflection of our efforts as a community. I want to thank our professors, employees and students for the hard work and dedication that has placed us among the top 7 universities in Canada,” said University of Ottawa president Allan Rock.
