MEDIA ADVISORY—Official opening of uOttawa Gee-Gees Field and launch of the first Sports Services Campaign
OTTAWA,

The University of Ottawa invites members of the media to the official opening of the new Gee-Gees Field, the launch of the first Sports Services fundraising campaign and the Gee-Gees football home opener. It’s a full day of firsts at the University of Ottawa.
What: Official opening of uOttawa Gee-Gees Field and launch of the Sports Services Campaign
When: Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 11 a.m.
Game begins at 1 p.m. with the ceremonial coin toss and kick-off
Where: Gee-Gees Field, Lees Campus, 200 Lees Avenue, (Map)
Jim Watson, Mayor of the City of Ottawa; Kevin Gilmore, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Montreal Canadiens, and Co-Chair of the Sports Services campaign; and Allan Rock, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, will take part in the day’s events.
