University of Ottawa and faculty association approve new collective agreement
OTTAWA,
August 30, 2013 —
The University of Ottawa is pleased to announce that a new collective agreement has been approved by the University’s Board of Governors and ratified by members of the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa (APUO).
“This achievement is the result of time and effort put forth by all parties and I want to thank and congratulate everybody”, said Allan Rock, president and vice-chancellor of the University.
The four-year agreement is retroactive to May 1, 2012 and expires April 30, 2016.
The Executive Committee of the Board of Governors met August 7 and approved the agreement on behalf of the Board, subject to APUO approval. Members of APUO ratified the agreement on August 29 during a special assembly.
