University of Ottawa seeks agreement with APUO in order to prepare for the academic year
OTTAWA, July 19, 2013 — Today, following two days of conciliation with the Association of Professors of the University of Ottawa (APUO), the University of Ottawa regretfully requested a no-board report from the conciliator. This effectively brings conciliation to a close.
The two parties have agreed to enter mediation over the August long weekend. The University’s focus is on negotiating an agreement that is fair, reasonable and consistent with the Ontario university sector. The University is committed to reaching a deal to allow all of us to focus on the return of students in September.
The University remains available to meet as often as necessary to reach an agreement.
