MEDIA ADVISORY: The Walk of Two Bridges – One Campus, Two Bridges and a Good Cause!
OTTAWA, June 4, 2013 — The University of Ottawa is holding its fourth annual Walk of Two Bridges to help support United Way. More than 300 participants, University employees and students will walk to promote wellness, will rally the uOttawa community together, and fundraise for the Student Aid Fund, which provides help to students in critical need or crisis situations. The event, which is organized by the Healthy and Active Campus committee and members of United Way, raised over $1,500 last year.
What: The Walk of Two Bridges – One Campus, Two Bridges and a Good Cause!
When: Thursday, June 6, 2013, from 11:40 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Where: The walk will start at the tunnel under the Campus OC Transpo bus stop.
Path: From the Corktown pedestrian bridge to Pretoria bridge and back to the tunnel (path loops around the Rideau Canal)
