MEDIA ADVISORY: Double-lung recipient Hélène Campbell to attend Be a Donor event at uOttawa
OTTAWA, August 31, 2012 — The uOttawa community invites the media to take part in the Be a Donor initiative during Welcome Week 2012.
Double-lung recipient Hélène Campbell will be in attendance to support the cause and will be available for interviews if her health permits. University of Ottawa professor Jennifer Chandler, and Program Coordinator Paulina Mirsky, from the Loeb Chair and Research Consortium in Organ and Tissue Donation will also be available for interviews.
WHAT: Be a Donor! initiative
WHEN: Tuesday September 4, 12:30p.m.-1:30p.m.
WHERE: Faculty welcome lunch, Faculty of Arts Pavilion, 60 University (outside next to Simard Hall).
This initiative is led by the Loeb Chair and Research Consortium in Organ and Tissue Donation at uOttawa, the first academic research chair in organ and tissue donation in the world.
