uOttawa media relations tool receives education award
OTTAWA, June 8, 2012 — The University of Ottawa is proud to announce that it has received a bronze medal for Best PR/Marketing/Communications Initiative for its “Current Issues – uOttawa Experts” newsletter, which connects uOttawa professors and researchers with journalists in the local, provincial and national media. The medal was awarded as part of the Canada Council for the Advancement of Education 2012 Prix d’Excellence.
The “Current Issues” newsletter identifies weekly news headlines and highlights uOttawa experts who are available to comment on these topics. It is sent to journalists across Canada each Tuesday.
We encourage uOttawa professors and researchers to contact the Media Relations team and the communications officers of their respective faculties to get more involved in the media and help spread uOttawa knowledge and research in the broader community!
