My main field of interests are in the role of law in determining how people experience health care systems. I am an expert on the Canada Health Act, public vs. private insurance, the right to health and how we make decisions about what health care is publicly funded or not. I am also an expert on comparative health care systems: how Canada’s health care systems performs relative to others. I have also written, for example, on how to implement pharmacare. More recently my work has expanded to look at issues of regulating quality, safety and privacy issues of new digital health and AI health innovations.
