Research Information:
My main research centres on women, gender, and sexuality in ancient Greece and Rome. I mainly examine the role that women played in these societies as well as how femininity was conceived by our sources (all written by men). I also look at ideas concerning masculinity in ancient Greece and Rome. My previous research has examined warfare and society in the ancient Mediterranean as well as how the discipline of classics has impacted the historical treatment of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
