Clinical trials and practice guidelines involving strategies to manage pain in the neonatal unit better. Guidelines for using sucrose (sugar water) before painful procedures for babies in hospital. Anesthetic cream applied to the skin before a poke for bloodwork, again in babies. Involved in clinical trials assessing the efficacy and safety of nasal ventilation in preterm infants.
