MEDIA ADVISORY: Launch of the new Canadian Centre of Excellence for Anti-Corruption

OTTAWA, December 7, 2015  —  The University of Ottawa  invites members of the media to the launch of the new Canadian Centre of Excellence for Anti-Corruption (CCEAC) to coincide with United Nations International Anti-Corruption Day. The Centre, which was created in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, will foster collaboration between governments, the private sector, universities and civil society to promote ethical practices aimed at preventing and countering corruption and bribery.

This event will gather national and international experts and educators, who will share their thoughts on the social and economic impacts of global corruption on both private and public organizations.

Allan Rock, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ottawa, will give the opening remarks.
