André Desrochers is a researcher at the University of Ottawa who has worked for more than thirty years on Anticosti Island's sedimentary basin. His research projects seek to understand the Earth's fossil records, particularly those of Anticosti Island and the Mingan Archipelago. In connection with a possible oil production project on Anticosti Island, he has recently undertaken research on natural connectivity between aquifers deep in methane-rich saline and the surface.
