Research Information:

My field of research is called “Be Sweet to Babies” and focuses on reducing pain in babies and children. My studies include effectiveness and use of sugar water (sucrose) in sick and healthy babies and children. I am also involved in reviewing all other studies people have done in relation to sucrose and breastfeeding for pain management. In addition, I study how hospitals and community settings actually use recommended pain management strategies during needle procedures such as immunization and blood work, and how we can improve pain management for our youngest populations.
