The IPZone is a website for IPs across campus to share their expertise, lessons learned, and document uOttawa web standards and guidelines.
Here you will find detailed information about:
- Guidelines and Standards describe suggested best practices, and standards to comply with.
- Home and gateway pages descibe the communication objective, content strategies and how to get content promoted there. Learn about how these pages are cerefully tracked, monitored and measured.
- Presentations is a repository of presentations on different topics that contribute to improving the overall quality of the University website.
- Web Meetings holds a a description of future and past web meetings. Presents an inventory of materials and topics discussed.
- uOttawa Web Professionals is the directory of colleagues who manage faculties and services websites across campus (Information providers and webmasters)
- Link of the week is, literally, a weekly link to a website, beyond uOttawa, considered relevant, current and interesting to the uOttawa web professionals. This link may point to several aspects of the web industry: content and knowledge management, technology, editing and writing for the web, workflow, etcetera.
The IPZone implements knowledge mangement principles and promote actions to dinamize a community of web practitioners on campus. It serves the interests and needs of IPs across campus and evolves under the Web Coordination Committee supervision. This website is accesible on campus only and is not crawled by search engines. Remote access is possible through a VPN client connection.
