Network Vision and Objective

The Objective

The purpose of the EDGE Network is to help Canada develop effective strategies to play a leading role in the new economic order of the 21st century.

The Vision

EDGE is a unique collaboration of leading thinkers in international economics, business, law, political science and public policy working together with governments and the private sector on issues relating to the emerging economies. Together, we are dedicated to ensuring Canada becomes more productive, competitive and prosperous in the face of massive transformation of the global economic landscape. Emerging, dynamic, global economies – notably those of China, India and Brazil – are driving massive geopolitical and business realignments in their regions and around the globe. EDGE fosters interdisciplinary, international research partnerships to generate relevant public policy options for Canada as well as models for international economic governance.
