Education at Lamoureux
Hi! My name is Megan. Welcome to Lamoureux Hall, home of the Faculty of Education.
Here we can see the main lobby of Lamoureux Hall that connects you to your faculty through the information desk Info-Education. Just around the corner is the academic secretariat, where you can find friendly staff available to answer your questions about admissions, registration and other academic issues.
In Lamoureux Hall, there are plenty of facilities available to enhance your ability to teach, such as its many classrooms, amphitheatres, visual arts studios, and great labs such as the Mus - Alpha music lab, the science labs, the vivarium and The Brain and Behaviour Lab.
In Lamoureux, you’ll also find the Multifunction Educational Centre which has ample seating for studying and working in groups. The Centre also has plenty of books and periodicals and hands-on learning aids called “manipulatives.”
When it’s time for a break, come over to the Café for some fresh coffee and comfortable seating – it’s another popular spot for having lunch and meeting with friends...and, of course, it’s great for working on assignments, too!
Like all of the University's academic halls, Lamoureux provides an awesome environment to study and have fun!
Located in Lamoureux Hall, the facilities at the Faculty of Education include a resource centre, laboratories, a music classroom and many areas to study, work in groups or to take breaks between classes. Undergraduate students also go on placements within the Public and Catholic school boards.
